Matt’s favorite animal is the giraffe. Perhaps it is their lengthy neck. He’s got one, so maybe he finds comfort in their similarity. I think it’s because he likes to quote Bugs Bunny who used to say “de gi-raffe, de gi-raffe.” I’ve never actually heard the famous rabbit say that, but Matt claims he does. Just like he claims my mom really gave birth to me even though my sisters always told me they found me in a trash can in front of our house. I’d rather live in ignorance.

Regardless, I took tons and tons of pictures of giraffes at the zoo when we went a few weekends back. This photo was when I realized I need a better zoom lens.
