I’m on a mission from Gahd
While browsing through Domino on this morning’s commute, I was struck by the realization that I WANT MORE SUCCULENTS IN MY LIFE!
They are so hardy, require very little water, and look great in cheap Ikea pots – all major requirements for the greenery in my home. But I do not currently have a single succulent either inside the apartment or outside on our many porches. This, my friends, needs to be remedied immediately.
And since Matt is working until 8 tonight, perhaps I will have that very opportunity I need to head to the mass Swedish outfitter and pick me up some succulents.

A few yrs ago, my mom looked at my plants and said, “Your succulents are doing well.” The rest of my plants, of course, were brownish. That is how I learned about succulents, and from that point on, that is all I bought for new plants. The bad news, is that one of my favorite succulents is doing sucky, but I am sending it off for summer camp with my parents, so hopefully, it will have a nice few months of rest and feel better.

Unfortunately, the date to Ikea has been postponed until Saturday. However, I intend to name them each after the individual mountains in the Presidential Range in your honor, Heather. And I’m pretty sure that by the end of the summer they’re going to need to take family medical leave and head to your place.
